A story from Don Jorge • March 26, 2024
Gratitude fills my heart as I reflect on my role as a maintenance worker at the orphanage. Part of my daily routine involves stepping out at noon to collect donations. It’s a mission close to my heart, a way to ensure that every girl here has what she needs, from ensuring donations are picked up such as tortillas, meat, and chicken. I am profoundly thankful for the generosity of those who contribute. Recientemente, I marveled at the impact of a tortilla donation—a whopping 14 tons provided by a generous soul in our beautiful community. His kindness, along with that of countless others, sustains the home and allows me to play a part in maintaining a nurturing environment.
Beyond my maintenance duties, I strive to support everyone here, contributing to the sense of home that defines this place. With years of experience, I’ve become intimately acquainted with the nooks and crannies of this space. It’s a familiarity born out of years spent caring for this home.
I recognize that my absence would leave a void, as my understanding of the intricacies of this place is deeply rooted. Gratefulness fills my heart not just for the tangible contributions but for the God-given intelligence and insight that allow me to assist Love in Action Children’s Home. It’s a collective effort, and I extend my deepest thanks to those who support us in creating a haven for these incredible girls. Your contributions make a significant impact, allowing us to continue providing a loving and secure environment. Join us in the ongoing journey of caring and maintaining a place these girls can truly call home.

Jorge Beltrán
Meet Jorge Beltran Gomez, también conocido como "Don Jorge". Ha estado trabajando en Love in Action durante el pasado. 12 años.
Su historia comienza en Chapala, Jalisco, donde es un orgulloso esposo y padre de tres hijos.
Cuando Don Jorge comenzó a trabajar en la propiedad actual que ahora es Love in Action, había otro orfanato residiendo allí. De nuevo en 2006, él había estado buscando un trabajo para 2 meses cuando alguien le recomendó este trabajo. Once Love in Action se mudó a esta nueva propiedad, heredamos su fiel y trabajador hombre de mantenimiento, DonJorge! Desde entonces, ha sido una parte vital de este equipo y ministerio.
