Paola’s journey has been one of significant transformation. Previously, she was quite challenging to engage with, often responding aggressively, especially when it came to tasks she didn’t enjoy. However, recently, I’ve observed a positive change in her behavior. I’ve taken the time to have conversations with her, encouraging her to reflect on her reactions. I’ve told her, “The way you react sometimes isn’t the best option, if things become too overwhelming, take a few minutes to calm down. It will make a big difference.”
Encouraging her to regulate her emotions and offering guidance has been a journey filled with effort and difficulty for her. Nevertheless, she has shown remarkable progress. Previously, she would respond to chores she disliked with anger, often resorting to throwing things. Now, she’s making a conscious effort to manage her reactions, showing a considerable change in her behavior. I’ve seen the impact of our collective efforts in nurturing these girls, and I’m witnessing the seeds of change taking root in Paola.
